Studio
The studio is an environment where learning is approached by doing. Design is the process where diverse bodies of knowledge and creativity are brought to bear on the solution of problems. These problems take the form of assignments that are worked on both individually and collectively.

Drawing
This course introduces drawing as an extended way of seeing that is like thinking out loud. Requiring no previous experience, exercises address perspective, orthographic views and figure drawing with nude models. If you are uncomfortable with this aspect of the course please talk to the instructor.

Computer Modeling
This course is an introduction to the numerous applications of computers in architecture. Emphasis is placed on developing conceptual models of computer applications to help students lose their inhibitions about working with computers. The final product of this course is an electronic portfolio of work from the entire program.

"When I arrived at the Pre-College program, I did not know if architecture was what I wanted to study, because I knew virtually nothing about it. After completing this program, I realized that there was a lot to architecture that I had not known about, which helped me to determine what I wanted to major in."
